Today, athletes will alternate a highly metabolic and demanding movement followed by a static hold. We wanted to increase the time each round because it isn’t often we go up in time (or reps), so to be different, and it’s also more psychologically challenging this way. People can usually handle it better the other way around, knowing the time will decrease each round. Sorry ;-0.

To expand a little further on how to run the workout: The workout is 4 rounds, and each of those time frames refers to a round. So athletes will perform 30 sec. of max Double-unders, 30 sec. of Ring Hold, 30 sec. of max reps Burpees, 30 sec. of Ring-Row Hold and 30 sec. of rest. They’ll then start back at the beginning, only this time with 60 sec. for everything.
