Wanted to drop this off for
you to think about…
We’re still watering seeds, but that doesn’t mean we don’t sow. A more magnanimous approach to anything ensures that thing’s success. So, here we are…sowing and watering and watering and sowing.
This week I want you to think about the connection you have with your fuel. Your food. Where does it come from? Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not say the grocery store.
Where does it ACTUALLY come from?
And what did the journey to your plate look like?
This is not a hard thing to research. Pick up the phone and call your favorite restaurant. Ask them where they source their food. Someone on the other end of the line knows where they get all of their produce, etc. That information does exist. Get it. And then trace it back to the ground.
You’ll be able to make an informed decision on where you should and shouldn’t be eating. Dig deep enough and you’ll find yourself growing your own food. 😉
A salad hierarchy from worst quality to best…
Most Fast Food Salads
Most Chain Restaurant Salads
Grocery Store Salads (excluding the Whole Foods and Trader Joes of the world)
The Other Grocery Store Salads – Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc
Most Farmers Market Salads
Grow Your Own
This isn’t all inclusive and is, honestly, just something I made up for me to think about when eating. Sure, it could be cleaned up, but at the end of the day, you see where I’m going with this.
And stay away from pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, etc.
How connected are you to your fuel?
How many times did that squash and onions you ate last week change hands before it landed on your plate?
Something to think about.

Your weekly workload can be found on the Train Heroic app. This is a free training app that we’ve been using for quite sometime now. Through the app, you will not only be able to see your weekly programming, but you’ll also be able to track your progress. Think of it like a journal, but cooler. 😉
You’ll need to do an app search for “Train Heroic” on your phone. The app looks like this…
Once you download the app, you’ll need to create an account and your access code will be “newbraunfels.”
