What did you guys think about the morning routine I sent out last week? If you didn’t get a chance to see it, HERE it is. You’ll need to scroll down just a bit to find it. If you did get a chance to see it, what are your thoughts? Shoot me an email HERE to hit my personal inbox and let’s discuss.
What’s the purpose behind the routine?
It’s a way to get the day started with a clear head. It’s a way to start the day with wins. Are you the person who wakes up, stumbles to the kitchen, stubs your toe on the way there only to spill the coffee you were trying to pour…and it’s cold because you set the timer on the coffee maker wrong the night before? That’s quite a few losses to start the day and you haven’t even brushed your teeth yet. Trust me…the tone for the day has been set and everyone around you will feel it. Don’t be that person.
I’ve heard, “how you do anything, is how you do everything.” That said, solve your problem by eliminating the snooze button. I know that extra 10 minutes doesn’t mean anything right this moment…but it does. It means everything. You do it everyday. It’s lazy. You’ve become the snooze button person and it’s effecting everyone you come into contact with because you can’t stop stubbing your toes and spilling your coffee. 😉
The ability to clear one’s mind, to achieve complete internal silence, is an art. It takes time, practice, and patience. I can assure you, the sooner you start, the sooner you’ll stop wrecking your toes and the sooner everyone around you will loosen up when you walk through the door. You’ll be the example everyone wants to be around. The leader of the pack. Ask me how I know.
Before you ever get out of bed –> Breath work = Win #1
As soon as your feet touch the ground –> Cold water therapy = Win #2
When the water has run dry –> Two VERY specific exercises to you = Win #3
(Email me if you need help choosing.)
Once the exercises are complete –> Stalk internal silence through meditation Win #4
Once the hunt for silence is over –> Make your bed Win #5
When the sheets are tight –> Brush & floss your teeth Wins #6 & 7
We could keep going, but I’m sure you see what’s happening here. In a very short amount of time, you’ve collected a ton of wins before ever stepping out of the house. You show up to work with this many wins under your belt, there is not a person or situation on the planet who can slow you down. If you’re a first responder or currently involved in military operations, you desperately need to adopt this type of practice. The people you serve and protect deserve your best and your best starts with what’s going on in your head every morning. Do right by them by doing right by yourself.
If you ladies or gents need any type of guidance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

This is going to creep up on you fast. A little back info on The Murph HERE.
Friends don’t let friends sit at home during great training sessions. 😉
Your weekly workload will now be found on the Train Heroic app. Our deadline to you is Sunday night. This is a free training app that we’ve been using for quite sometime now. Through the app, you will not only be able to see your weekly programming, but you’ll also be able to track your progress. Think of it like a journal, but cooler. 😉
You’ll need to do an app search for “Train Heroic” on your phone. The app looks like this…
Once you download the app, you’ll need to create an account and your access code will be “newbraunfels.”
